Base Ring ×7
Early layout ring. Fill with Common–Rare crops (Carrot, Melon, Corn, Blueberry) for fast, steady harvest cycles.

Build A Ring Farm ring layout — Base ×7, Middle ×13, Outer ×19. Best layout, plant placement, and money farming with mutations.
Layout guide · June 2026
Ring farms are the core layout system in Build A Ring Farm. Each plot sits on Base, Middle, or Outer Ring and multiplies every harvest on that slot — reported values are ×7, ×13, and ×19 respectively.
Ring upgrades are a long-term income lever. A profitable layout places fast early crops on Base, mid-tier seeds on Middle, and your highest base-value crops on Outer when unlocked.
Ring farms multiply every plot. Put fast fillers on Base (×7), Epic–Legendary on Middle (×13), and Void Fruit, Durian, Ghost Pepper on Outer (×19) for peak income.

Mid-game ring. Move Epic and Legendary seeds here (Sunflower, Spring Onion, Mushroom) once unlocked.
Late-game ring. Reserve for Divine, Exotic, and Transcended crops (Golden Apple, Void Fruit, Durian, Ghost Pepper).

The highest-income layout is simple: lowest-value crops on the inside, your best crops on the outside where the ×19 multiplier applies.
Build A Ring Farm uses three concentric rings. Each step outward raises the harvest multiplier — Base Ring (inner) ×7, Middle Ring ×13, Outer Ring (edge) ×19. Community guides and creator walkthroughs agree on the same placement rule: worst seeds in the center, mid-tier seeds in the middle band, and your rarest high-base-value crops on the outer edge.
If your farm looks mixed today, rearrange once you have stronger seeds. Remove or downgrade inner plots that block income, then move Epic+ crops toward Middle and your top seeds (Golden Apple, Void Fruit, Durian, Ghost Pepper) toward Outer when that ring is unlocked.
A ring multiplier only pays off if your saw harvests the plot and your sprinkler keeps it growing. Upgrade automation before unlocking the next ring tier.
Community ring guides stress the same bottleneck: Outer Ring ×19 is wasted if Saw Range cannot reach those plots or Sprinkler Range cannot water them. Fully automate Base Ring first — every inner plot harvested and watered on each pass — then unlock Middle Ring. Repeat before pushing Outer Ring for endgame crops.
Recommended early upgrade order from cross-source wiki data: Saw Range → Sprinkler Power → Sprinkler Range. After automation covers your current ring, invest in Seed Luck, Saw Yield, and seed levels so each harvest pays more.
When to invest in Base, Middle, and Outer Ring upgrades.
Ring and mutation bonuses multiply together — they do not add. That is why Outer Ring + a strong mutation is the main late-game income spike.
Community harvest models use: sell value ≈ crop base × mutation multiplier × ring multiplier (before seed level and saw bonuses). A Rainbow mutation (×5) on Outer Ring (×19) equals ×95 on the crop’s base value — one of the most cited late-game combos in Build A Ring Farm ring guides.
Plan Outer Ring harvests during active weather when you can. Even Wet (×1.5) on ×19 beats selling with no mutation. For maximum spikes, community reports target Honeycomb or Rainbow on Outer during Galaxy or Bee Swarm windows.
Strongest crops belong on the outermost ring — not the inner Base Ring plots.
Players searching “is it better to place strong plants in the upper ring” are usually asking about ring tiers, not camera height. Outer Ring (×19) always beats Base Ring (×7) for the same seed, level, and mutation.
Diamond Blossom, Void Fruit, Dragonfruit, Durian, and Ghost Pepper should sit on Outer once unlocked. Keep Carrot, Wheat, and Corn on Base as income fillers until Middle and Outer automation is complete.
Ring farming income scales when your best crops sit on the highest multiplier and you reinvest harvest cash into automation and seed levels. Early money farming is about fast Base Ring cycles; late money farming is about protecting Outer Ring slots for top seeds and timing harvests with mutations.
Do not spread upgrades evenly across every crop. Community progression routes recommend leveling the crops on Middle and Outer Ring first, keeping Base Ring filled with cheap fillers that fund those upgrades. Pair this page with our seeds tier list, mutations database, and calculator to compare a layout change before you spend.
Use this checklist when rebuilding: Base = fast crops, Middle = Epic–Legendary, Outer = best seeds only. Match grow times to how often you play — short cycles on Base for active sessions, longer high-value crops on Outer for AFK income once sprinklers cover the full ring.
Quick answers about ring multipliers and layout.
Community reported: Base Ring ×7, Middle Ring ×13, Outer Ring ×19. Verify in-game after major updates.
Base Ring first for stable early income, then Middle when mid-tier seeds are online, then Outer for late-game crops.
Reports recommend Divine, Exotic, and Transcended crops — Golden Apple, Void Fruit, Durian, Ghost Pepper — for maximum ×19 scaling.
Yes in community models: sell value ≈ base × mutation × ring. Example: Rainbow ×5 on Outer ×19 ≈ 95× on base crop value.
No. Multipliers here are cross-source community reported. Screenshot sells before and after upgrades to confirm.
Put lowest-value crops on Base Ring (×7), Epic–Legendary crops on Middle Ring (×13), and your best Divine+ / Transcended seeds on Outer Ring (×19). Upgrade outer crops first — they earn the most per harvest.
Unlock Middle Ring when Epic or Legendary seeds are earning stable income and Base Ring is fully automated. Unlock Outer Ring when you have high-base crops ready and saw + sprinkler range can cover every outer plot.
Yes. Ring multipliers only apply to crops your saw actually harvests and your sprinkler keeps growing. Upgrade Saw Range, Sprinkler Power, and Sprinkler Range before expanding to the next ring tier.
Yes — put your highest base-value seeds on Outer Ring (×19), not Base (×7). “Upper ring” in community guides means the outer concentric band with the biggest multiplier.
Diamond Blossom is Divine-tier ($55K base in our database). Place it on Middle or Outer Ring depending on your roster — never leave it on Base once Middle is unlocked.
Ring multipliers (×7 / ×13 / ×19) stack multiplicatively with mutations and cash boosts. Outer Ring + strong mutation is the main “2x money” lever — not a separate ring upgrade named 2x.
